| Above Left/Center: Gilbert Tames
(L), a local Deer Park favorite lines was another newcomer that was very
impressive in his performance. In the semifinal match Gilbert defeated
Jeff Jones in a hard fought match that could have gone either way. Here
he lines up with Houston's Jeff Tomchesson who handed him both losses of
the day. Above Right: It is a tough job but someone has to do it,
we speak of refereeing. Again, we were fortunate to have Andy Stanford
with us on this day. He is a long time friend, great armwrestler
and indeed a qualified referee who puts forth his best effort. |

Lindley Keating-Conroe
looked impressive all day taking the 90+kg class Right, Left and then the
Overall title. |

| Above Left/Center/Right: For
his afternoon's work Lindley took home a cool $150. We note that
Jeff Tomchesson appeared to have Lindley a bit worried at one point but
just couldn't hold off Lindley's surges. Hats off to Lindley for a job
well done. |
| Above Left/Right: Bubba Raven was
another very impressive newcomer that made his way to the Texas
Saloon. He also had a lot of courage as he stepped up to enter the
Overall championship round when the call was made to even out the
bracket. He also left the tournament impressed with the power that
some possess as he openly admitted that he was out gunned in this match
up with Jeff Tomchesson. We hope to see Bubba again at a future event. |
